Sekar

A lifelong entrepreneur, technologist, and curious mind, Zach Sekar has been launching businesses and building on the internet for more than two decades. Leveraging consistency and his knack for market communications, community building, events, and conferences, Zach has built some of the largest startup and technology communities in Southern California as founder of Nerdstage, creating and hosting leading event series including Demo Day LA, Startup Arena, LA Tech Happy Hour, and collaborating to make possible Startup Cafe, Outer Edge (NFT LA), and more.

Zach is also co-founder of Smarter with Science, where he brings open-source, research-grade AI to organizations in many industries, incubates research initiatives and science-powered startups, and interviews innovators and researchers on the cutting edge.

Born and raised in the Midwest, Zach decided to study finance and philosophy at USC and has made Los Angeles his home. When he's not exploring the latest in science and technology, you can find Zach playing on the beach with his dog, Ninja, golfing, exploring nature, and working on his writing.
